Plastic Waste Artwork

Kathryn Dillman

Hello! My name is Kathryn Dillman. I create artwork from plastic waste. Our planet means everything to me. If I can use my artwork to advocate for a change, that would mean the world to me.

Plastics don’t biodegrade. This makes it harmful to the environment. It threatens the lives of animals and our oceans, and it contributes to climate change. It’s important to refuse and reuse this material for a more sustainable lifestyle.

This drawing is surrounded by a collage of plastic labels. Most of them were sourced from recycling bins and beach litter. My intention is to raise awareness regarding how often we use single-use products and the severity of this issue.
