Offshore Wind Campign

*To get involved with any of our projects and/or campaigns make sure to join the coalition by filling out our interest form!

Overview: The Offshore Wind Campaign encourages further adoption of offshore wind initiatives through educating the public and advocating for policies in support of offshore wind. In the upcoming year, the Offshore Wind Campaign team looks to collaborate with the New Jersey Environmental Lobby and to collaborate with NJ Wind Works. With these collaborations, they look to push for state level policies to encourage offshore wind adoption, create Public Safety Announcements and to attend town halls as much as possible to best create an impact.

Meet Our Campaign Leaders!

Madison Bartie (She/Her)

Newark Academy Class of 2026

Madi is one of the new leaders of the off shore wind campaign. Last school year, she spent her time at The Island School, which really fostered her passion for sustainability. She enjoys playing volleyball and acting. She is also an active member of equity & inclusion, political, and cultural clubs at her school!

Srishti Hazra (She/Her)

Edison Academy Magnet School Class of 2026

Srishti is so excited to be part of the NJSSC as one of the leaders of the offshore wind campaign. Outside of that, she participates in clubs like FBLA and model united nations (where she actually just debated about carbon emissions and net-0 goals!). Srishti also enjoys playing the guitar in her free time. She can't wait to meet and work with everyone through the year!
